When you book a whole yacht, your group has that yacht privately for the event. Your yacht then joins the other participating boats at the Yacht Social raft-up, where the DJ stage, swimming area and wider event atmosphere are shared across the fleet.

The price includes yacht hire, skipper, crew and entry to the Yacht Social raft-up event. Yacht facilities vary and may include items such as a BBQ, BBQ utensils, eskies and sound systems. Check the individual yacht listing for the exact features included on your chosen boat. The wider event also includes the floating DJ stage, lifeguards and safety boats.

Available payment options depend on how far away the event is.

Pay in full: Complete the whole-yacht booking in one payment.

Payment plan: For eligible bookings made more than 10 weeks ahead, pay 10% each week over 10 weeks. A shorter four-payment arrangement applies when the event is between four and 10 weeks away.

Individual guest payments — Social Split: Pay the required deposit and receive a private payment link for your group. Your friends then purchase their own places through that link instead of sending the money to you.

The upfront payment varies according to the yacht and the time remaining before the event. Payment plans and Social Split are unavailable within four weeks of the event.

Up to three months before your event, you can choose either free cancellation or one free date change to another available Yacht Social date. After that deadline, the standard cancellation and date-change conditions apply. Please read the complete booking terms before purchasing.

Yes. A refundable $1,500 damage bond applies to each whole-yacht booking. The bond is separate from the yacht price and is not due when you first book. It must be paid by bank transfer by the Wednesday before your event. It will be returned within 48–72 hours, provided your group has not caused damage to the vessel. Full details are available in the Terms of Service.

Yes. You can bring your own drinks, substantial food, ice and inflatables. No glass is permitted. Groups bringing alcohol must also bring substantial food.

Yes. All Yacht Social events are strictly for guests aged 21 and over.

Yacht Social operates in most weather conditions, including rain. The event will only be cancelled if the vessel operators determine that conditions are unsafe, such as dangerously strong winds or other hazardous harbour conditions. The final safety decision rests with the vessel operators and event team.

Hens parties are welcome, provided the group meets the event requirements. Bucks parties and all-male groups are not permitted. Yacht Social is a mixed-group event, and all groups must include at least 25% women. This requirement does not apply to SHIPrekt events. Contact us for details of any current hens-party offers.
